I don't know if it matters, but I'm on Vista and do not need the dvd to be in the drive (for Single Player or Multi Player). I have a legitimate copy and no no-dvd (or cd) patch/crack. I've always wondered if everyone else had the same luck, but I guess not. Wonder WTF is the deal w/mine if yours is requiring the disc in the drive?
I tried to run from the program list - still gives the same error
I also tried to download the No-DVD patch, but this patch is only for [Multi] player mode. I tried to find one for single player mode, but could not find one. The two files are iw3mp (multi-player) and iw3sp (single player). If anyone knows where I can find the iw3sp patch I think that I would be set!
This is not happening while installing - just when I try to play the game.
